We cultivate 30 acres of land just east of
Crescent in the Loess Hills. Currently 4 acres are in
vegetables, 7 in field corn, 9 in alfalfa and 10 in hay.
The hillsides are oak savanah and tall grass prairie.
Most of the vegetable garden is in our grandfather’s
old barnyard. We think Shorty and Alice would like it.
